Privacy Policy
This technical privacy template should be completed before commercial launch with the legal entity, contact details, legal bases, final retention periods and relevant data processing agreements.
Trial use without login
For the five-minute trial, Supabase creates an anonymous Auth user with an internal user ID. That user doesn't need an email address or a public profile. The profile server-side records a start and expiry time to enforce the trial period.
After registering an account
If you create an account after the trial (with a password or just your email address), the authentication provider processes the account data needed to authenticate you. Your name and email address are never shown to your chat partner. When an anonymous trial session is converted into an account, the same internal user ID can be retained.
Chat and safety data
LiefdesKlik processes match settings, internal room members, text messages, blocks and reports. Text can be submitted server-side to the configured moderation provider for safety classification.
Discover, profiles and matches
Discover is off by default. If you turn it on, other signed-in members see your display name, age, gender, town, bio, interests, approved photos and whether you are active right now. Your email address and your date of birth itself are never shown. Profile photos are automatically checked by our moderation provider (OpenAI) when uploaded, stored in restricted storage and only shown through temporary links. We store who you like or pass on and who likes you, so matches can happen. Messages with matches are deleted after 30 days, like other chat messages. You can turn Discover off at any time.
Video and audio
Video and audio run through LiveKit's real-time infrastructure. Conversations are not recorded. For your safety, downscaled still frames are periodically checked automatically by our moderation provider (OpenAI) during video calls. Those frames are not stored; if a frame is flagged, we only record the result of the check for moderation.
We use your email address to let you sign in and for account emails. Through our email provider we also send a welcome email and a notification when you have a new match.
Analytics and advertising
Non-essential analytics and ad storage is off by default and is only activated after a user gives consent via the consent banner.
Deletion and rights
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. This deletes your account, profile, photos, likes, matches and your messages.
